Variants

V-47
Twin barrel M1939 developed in the Soviet Union in 1944 with 5 produced in 1945. A series of 78 guns was produced in 1949 before discontinued in favor of the 57mm S-60.
Type 65
Chinese production model of the V-47. Reportedly the V-47 design was transferred to China before the Soviet-Sino split. The Type 65 is the most common version of the twin barrel 37mm anti-aircraft gun. Multiple guns can be slaved to a fire director.
Type 74
Variant of the Type 65 with increased rate of fire and electric drive for traverse and elevation. The Type 74 can be used stand-alone, but is intended to be slaved to a fire director with radar input. This allows the Type 74 to be used at night and in adverse weather.
Type 74SD
Less extensive upgrade than Type 74. This retains the increased rate of fire, but lacks the powered traverse and elevation. This version is still intended to be used in conjunction an external director and early warning radar input.
Type P793
Further development of the Type 74. Improvements include an Italian Galileo P56 electro-optical sight and improved external fire control system, consisting of both optical director with laser range finder and a radar system. A variant with longer barrel, higher muzzle velocity and even higher rate of fire was available as well. Also known as Type 79-III.
